The via ferrata Gorges de la Truyère

The via ferrata is a nature sport halfway between hiking and climbing. His practice allows us to walk rock walls without the need to know the techniques of climbing ropes.Permanently connected to the lifeline that ensures our safety, we turn in small paths and dizzying granite walls. On the vertical parts, bars sealed in the rock help us to progress more easily.The via ferrata allows the widest range of practitioners (from 12 years highly recommended for that of the Bois des Baltuergues) to taste the joys of the cliff, but requires good physical fitness.

A breathtaking setting

If you want to exercise and get some fresh air, you’ve come to the right place. In the Gorges de la Truyère, the Baltuergues wood via ferrata dominates the river.Open your senses, enjoy the calm and beauty of this wild space: ... Parade of birds, country or passage ... sound of water running on the pebbles ... wind caressing the leaves ... The large footbridge, the pillar of daffodils and the vulture’s dihedron invite you to take height to better appreciate the splendour of the site.

The course 

From the Aloa Nature base at the Pont de Mels, 5/10 minutes by car to the via ferrata parking lot, then 5 minutes on foot to the start of the course.Jungle atmosphere with an important plant cover in the first part, the setting opens in a more mineral part. You then become aware of the scale of the places! The blue course, in the form of a loop, is noted as «quite difficult». On average, it takes two good hours to complete.You can add a little bit of extra difficulty in different places: the red variants. Rated "difficult", these games are reserved for advanced athletes.

In search of the stolen jewel
A precious jewel, priceless heritage of the region, was stolen during an exhibition. The thief left behind some clues scattered in the forest. Your mission is to search for him, solve puzzles and end this investigation.

Level: Intermediate
Audience: 7 to 99 years
Duration: 1 hour minimum

Criminal investigation
A shocking crime took place in a peaceful village of Aveyron. The criminal police are calling on you and your team of detectives to take charge of their unfinished investigation. You must gather evidence and identify the culprit before it is too late. Will you be able to unmask the criminal and restore peace in the village?

Level: Difficult
Audience: 16 to 99 years
Duration: 2 hours minimum

The missing recipe (In partnership with the Coopérative Jeune Montagne)
A typical recipe from Aveyron, dating back to the 12th century, has mysteriously disappeared. This culinary treasure, created by shepherds and secretly transmitted over the centuries, must be found! Fortunately, clues are hidden throughout the forest. It’s up to you to solve the puzzles and retrieve this ancient recipe.

Duration: 1 hour minimum

Little Red Squirrel is sick
This morning, Petit Écureuil Roux arrived at the veterinary emergency room of Aloa Nature crying. He has a very bad stomach after eating delicious red currants in the wood. But disaster! Veterinarian Leo Campanule has been injured and is no longer able to take care of him. Can you help him heal Little Red Squirrel before he gets worse?

Level: Easy
Audience: 4 to 8 years
Duration: 1 hour minimum (possibility of a shorter course of 700m)
